The New York Coalition of Creative Arts Therapists (NYCCAT) is an association representing professionals and students from the field of Creative Arts Therapy including Art Therapists, Dance/Movement Therapists, Drama Therapists, Music Therapists, Poetry Therapists, and Psychodramatists. NYCCAT's mission is; to advance the progress of Creative Arts Therapy Licensure (LCAT) in the State of New York, to strengthen the clinical of Creative Arts Therapy
by promoting educational, research, and professional opportunities; and to increase public awareness of the Creative Arts Therapies. NYCCAT strives to advocate for a core professional identity and presence by unifying the network of Creative Arts Therapists.
The Rochester NYCCAT Chapter was formed in September 2009 and is the first satellite chapter to be established.

The NYCCAT Board is currently working with our legal counsel to establish 501.c4 status with the Internal Revenue Service as well as rebuilding NYCCAT's website. Please stay tuned as we grow.
